The ‘Pledge’ that got so much press started innocently. Trying to keep twitter interesting, I promised a bj to all my followers if the USA won the World Cup. The followers had a ton of fun but the USA lost to Ghana. I was repeatedly asked to pick another team. England was a natural choice because Twitter friend Miss Hybrid is English and we figured we would have some fun with the same thing. Same promise, same result… England lost immediately.

With Bobbi’s site going live, with no preconceived notions of world fame, “#TeamBJ” was born. Bobbi made ‘The Promise’. Me, Miss Hybrid, and a girl I had been tweeting with, Gabby Quinteros, backed it up. There was a tremendous amount of chatter on the net when the promise was made but in truth it was Holland’s win over Brazil that catapulted ‘The Promise’ into the headlines. Maybe it was the fact Bobbi is a hot Dutch blonde and her team was making a cup run, maybe it was the fact the world found Maradona or Larissa Riquelme’s promises to strip and go for a run in support of their teams interesting, but Bobbi Eden’s pledge to give a blowjob to all of her followers if Holland won the world cup (with a hand from me, Gabby and Miss H) overnight was a sensation.

Bobbi Eden went from about 4,000 followers to having the most followers out of any adult actress in the world in 24 hours. Her image appeared in literally dozens of countries and all over the internet and #TeamBJ was something fans clamoured to be a part of on the net from all over the world. All of the girls in #TeamBJ saw remarkable increases in followers.

There are no doubt some jaded folks who are going to say things like: 1. We were never going to go through with it; 2. It was all just a massive marketing plan; 3. Our followers are all going to leave in droves. I am happy to say nothing seems to be further from the truth. 99% of the tweets I have so far received are positive. Most people say things like was the first time they found the World Cup interesting, that they had never thought about sex during a game before, and that the girls involved made it so much fun for them. There has not been a massive unfollow. Sure there are some people who just followed for the sake of seeing what would happen who immediately left. Having said that, it is my firm belief that the majority of fans were there because the #TeamBJ girls were funny, chill and having fun with the whole thing.

None of the girls backed down or out. Had Holland won, for the rest of their lives they would have had to either make good or put up with guys claiming to be followers asking for bj’s. I am sure there are some in the business who may resent the girls for all the exposure that they got. I hope that the rest of the business gives them credit for getting the subject of adult some press time during what is traditionally a sacred sporting event. I cannot remember the last time an adult actress got so much mass exposure all over the globe in so many countries. In some ways it was a ground breaking peek into what is possible with mass marketing and social networking for the adult industry. That only happened because the girls laid it on the line – prepared to face a barrage of hate mail if they did not live up to The Promise.

Will #TeamBJ be back? As with all things on the internet… it is timing. #TeamBJ is now going to go in history as the first time any such type of pledge was ever made on twitter for a major sporting event (at least that received such worldwide exposure to my knowledge). It worked for the moment and engaged countess people in countless cultures around the world with multiple different languages. Everything I do on the net is for fun. #TeamBJ will likely rise again but we shall see. I hate being boring and contrived. Like all amazing movies, the sequels are never usually as good as the original. If the public wants #TeamBJ back and the timing is right anything is possible. Maybe #TeamBJ will make another World Cup run at Brazil 2014.

For my part, I want to thank each and every one of my followers who put up with a constant barrage of tweets, my members who allowed me the leeway to interact with the fans who choose to follow rather than join my site, and the other girls who backed the promise right to the end. Bobbi Eden is coming to hang out with me in August so you can be sure we are planning something fun for the fans.

The final big question. Were Bobbi, me, Gabby & Miss H really going to give 112,000 bjs if Holland won? As some of you know I got quite a bit of press overseas in Indonesia where Ariel Irham, the lead singer of a band called ‘Peterpan’ was embroiled in a scandal of having ‘shock’ sex with some well known female stars in his country and filming it. It became a trending topic on twitter and some of my tweets on the subject got national press in that country.

In this country, the ‘shock’ of celebrity sex tapes has seemingly long since passed. From Pamela Anderson, to Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Kendra Wilkinson, Shawna Sands and more… celebrities seem to think they have to make a sex tape to get in the tabloids or on Larry King. As we celebrate the Fourth of July and Independence Day think what would happen if we in the USA put people like Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian in jail for having sex on tape instead of giving them reality television shows. Preposterous right? Yet… that is exactly what has happened around the globe to Ariel – currently sitting in an Indonesian jail after his sexy private exploits were leaked to the net and the government has charged him with a crime that is punishable with jail for up to 12.. yes 12 years (pictured in jail below). The government in that country has also cracked down and searched student cell phones for copies of the ‘offensive’ material all while filtering the internet.

Of course I cannot say how one country should be run vs. another. Goodness knows some people may say that celebrities in this country who put our really bad sex tapes should serve some time (joking!). I do however give thanks on this Independence Day for the precious Freedom to Express myself. While some may not think my ‘expression’ is worthy of protection, thankfully we have rights and privileges that others in the world do not enjoy.

Happy Independence Day. It is not all about the barbecues and hot dogs.

I have mixed feelings about twitter…. a pornstar publicists worst nightmare (tweets about the xanax you took in the morning are not exactly sexy). While everyone in adult has twitter accounts, twitter for porn still has not exactly gone mainstream. Paris Hilton has over 2 million followers on twitter and the most any pornstar has is around 50,000. Having said that, I decided to finally embrace what twitter has to offer and have tried to work it into what I do online. Sooooo…. when I got up Tuesday morning I noticed that there was a Trending Topic ‘Ariel Peterporn’. For those of you that do not use Trending Topics… it is an indication what everyone on twitter is chattering about. This peaked my interest. I mean, it could have said ‘Oil Spill’ or ‘Celtics/Lakers’…. but no, it said….’Ariel Peterporn’.

I did a quick google search and found out ‘Ariel Peterporn’ is a huge scandal in Indonesia involving a sex tape. Ariel is the singer of a famous Indonesian pop band (Peterpan) who allegedly was having sex with the hottest girls in Indonesia and filming it (Cut Tari being one of those girls). As often times with sex tapes….. if you leave your sex tapes in an unsafe place… someone puts it on the internet. Ariel’s laptop was stolen/lost, and his sex with Indonesia’s hottest stars is spreading like wildfire on the net.

I tweeted something I thought was funny…. along the lines of ‘I wanted to see the Ariel Peterporn sex tape’. You would think a couple of people from the other side of the world would respond right? Nope! I got deluged… and I mean deluged with responses. So many… that I could not respond. It seems that by some strange internet phenomenon I am very well known in Indonesia. Maybe it is having a band named after me… or maybe Indonesian’s search out adult material since it is banned.. yes banned in their country. It seemed that everything I mentioned about Ariel Peterporn was being chattered throughout Indonesia on blackberries everywhere. I ultimately made the Indonesian news. News link. News link. News Link.

I was sent a link by my twitter friends to get a copy of the infamous sex tape. I checked it out…. a little over 8 minutes of two people having (*shock!*) sex on camera. Why the furor? Why infamous? Indonesia has a ban on porn – let alone their stars having sex on camera. As you all know, I am strongly against censorship…. something that the United States says does not exist because of the First Amendment (but is at this moment prosecuting various folks in the adult world). Hopefully Ariel and Cut will not be put in prison or flogged (yes flogged) for having sex. They deny it is them.

It is an amazing example that in this fragile world of freedom of speech that not everyone has the same rights and privileges that we do. Even in Australia an adult website owner (Abby Winters) had to recently agree to leave the country and go to Holland, for making “objectionable films”. To avoid prison he agreed to move the server to Holland and leave the country himself, and pleaded guilty on two charges. I for one do not take for granted that I have the right to get naked and film myself on camera. In places like Indonesia, those rights do not exist and are punished.

Which brings me to the infamous sex tape. I think Ariel and Cut Tari should not be ashamed of the tape. For the first time ever a scandalous sex tape that is not being released and sold by Vivid for profit!

I am not sure what the furor is over sex tapes. Here in the USA they are coming out every week. If you are a celebrity and DON’T have a sex tape it is a rarity . We seem to be using scandalous sex tapes as a way of perpetuating fame – getting in TMZ, even if it is for a sex tape or going into rehab – is some kind of badge of honor (a last ditch way of keeping your name in the news… at any cost). Do I think the sex tapes I have seen are any good? I can’t say I have seen a good one. Maybe you guys can tell me if you think they are good. What do I think of Ariel and Cut Tari’s sex tape? It is two people having sex who wanted to film it for future enjoyment…. nothing wrong with that. There is no ‘popshot’ at the end… but it was not intended as a porn tape. They are obviously enjoying themselves.

If you see me tweeting in Indonesian… do not be surprised. The amount of chatter coming my way from that part of the world is amazing. The Indonesians have all been extremely polite and… as one person tweeted… at least Indonesia is getting news for more than badminton.
